On December 9, the "R&D, Evaluation, Biological Effect Research and Industrialization of Long-lasting Antibacterial Air Purifying Functional Ceramics" project independently developed by Tedi Negative Ion Ceramics passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal. Hou Li'an, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and many other experts believe that the project results have generally reached the international advanced level, and have reached the international leading level in terms of long-lasting antibacterial and biological safety testing of ceramics.
The project was jointly researched and completed by Guangdong Tedi Ceramics Co., Ltd., Jingdezhen Ceramics University, China Building Materials Research Institute, National Daily Use and Architectural Ceramics Engineering Technology Research Center and other units.
The results appraisal meeting was organized by the China Building Materials Federation. The meeting was held in a combination of online and offline methods. After listening to the relevant reports made by the project team, reviewing relevant materials, and watching biological experiment videos and production site videos, the experts gave their opinions on the project after careful questioning and discussion. Experts agreed that the project has achieved good results in a complete set of industrialization technology, purification and antibacterial functional characterization methods, and biosafety experimental technology. It has provided new ideas for the development of environmentally functional ceramics and is important for promoting my country's architectural ceramics industry. It is of great significance to upgrade and industrialize ceramic tiles with antibacterial air purification functions; the project results have generally reached the international advanced level, and have reached the international leading level in terms of long-lasting antibacterial and biological safety testing of ceramics.
